Lucy has been with us for almost two years, and
in that time has put a tremendous amount of work in building
up Studio 2 Online.
She is moving to work for the NHS as a 'Senior Resource
Coordinator' for the Pathway Project - a £761million
redevelopment of Leicester's three hospitals.
Lucy will be working her last day on Wednesday, 1st June.
Please bear with us whilst we select a replacement;
in the short term Giles will be taking over the overall
running of projects with Paul on hand for help in the design
based projects.
In the mean time, we wish Lucy all the best!

James' long experience spans twenty years of programming
and development - right back to the heady days of the good old
Sinclair Spectrum.
As we bring him up to speed, he will ultimately be in charge of
delivering all our technical projects, and looking at new and
exciting ways of delivering applications and solutions to our
clients.

more details on how you can maximise the IT potential of
your business please contact us on 0870 837 0086. |
The new system at its simplest,
helps manage your customers contact information and maximise the
potential of your enquiries. As a web based system it is accessed
by simply opening a browser and can therefore be accessed from
anywhere in the world. This makes it very easy for companies with
multiple offices and people working at home to all access and
share information. Also, as a web based system there is no software
to install or licenses to purchase. Users can be configured with
different levels of access and permissions, e.g. only a customer's
assigned account manager can amend enquiries.
A Quick Sale are our first customer to be running a live version
of the system, and they will shortly be upgraded to version 2.0
which has additional functionality. They use the system to capture
enquiries which are entered automatically into the system from
their website enquiry form. An administrator can then assign enquiries
to one of a number of affiliates, based around the country. Affiliates
are then automatically notified by email of a new enquiry and
can login to add additional information and notes.
The system features a dynamic reporting engine that can be used
to monitor areas such as Customer Activity, Enquiries won/lost
and Source of Enquiries, to give an overview of how business is
proceeding. Email notifications triggered by actions or the passing
of a set amount of time can also be set up, so that for example,
when a staff member changes an enquiry status to 'deal closed',
the appropriate manager is sent an email, or if no notes are added
to an enquiry which was created 4 weeks ago, an email reminder
is sent to follow up this lead.
"Studio
2 were able to identify my requirements and create a system
that met my business needs, greatly reducing the time
and cost of tracking enquiries."
Richard Watters, A Quick Sale Ltd |
The system is highly
flexible in its setup and functionality.
If you are finding that enquiries have slipped through the
net, or you want to be able to access your contact information
from different sites, then please call u son 0116 2425811 to discover how we could tailor this system to
help your business run more smoothly. |

Independent Travel asked Studio 2 to work with them in updating
their sites to its new corporate identity. To keep costs
down, we developed a set of template pages in our CMS system
which allowed the client to expand their site themselves.
In the travel industry, prices and places change on a daily
basis - our system allows Independent Travel to perfom this
themselves and apply the changes instantaneously.
"Our brief to Studio 2
was for a vibrant yet sophisticated website that would visually
stimulate the visitor whilst they looked for their worldwide
holiday - our new sites push all the right buttons, and
looks great!" Nick Bland, Independent
Travel |

We have now joined two new associations as part of our continued
commitment to the local Leicester community and the local IT industry.
The East Midlands IT Association was set-up to help
support and grow IT based companies within the East Midlands.
By joining EMITA, Studio 2 Online have already formed several
partnerships to help extend the range of services that we
can provide to its clients. |
Leicester Business Voice was established to represent local
business leaders who wish to participate in the development
of the City and County. Studio 2 Online joined LBV as part
of its continued commitment to help support and develop
the Leicester community. |

The move to tighten up security at online shops happens as increasing
numbers of firms report that customer data has been lost or stolen.
In an attempt to raise the baseline security practices of online
merchants and payment processing firms, Mastercard, Visa, American
Express, Diners, Discover, and JCB have drawn up standards that
dictate what web shops must do to keep safe.
Before these standards were drawn up separate credit card firms
and banks had their own different security compliance programs.
