Due to our continued growth, Studio 2 Online, Leicester’s largest and leading website design agency, require an Account Manager to proactively retain and develop the client relationship. The successful candidate will work alongside an existing Account Director and in conjunction with the Marketing team to help develop new business from incoming enquiries and a portfolio of existing clients.
You will be responsible for a wide portfolio of clients and will manage your portfolio as though you are managing your own business. You will be the link between the client and Studio 2 Online’s studio, responsible for liaising with the team internally and helping to guide the client through the project.
You will also be responsible for developing your own leads through networking events and any other suitable initiatives.
The Account Manager will work with an in-house SAGE CRM system for opportunity management and forecasting. They will follow a structured, proven and very successful formula for developing pre-qualified leads into new business.
The role has excellent growth prospects within the company and the successful candidate will be given full training and support.
Job Title: ACCOUNT MANAGER
Hours: 37.5 hours per week flexi-time
Salary: £25,000 + 2% of gross sales bonus with OTE of £34k - £50k + 3% annual bonus + benefits
Responsible to: Account Director
External relationships: Clients include marketing managers, IT Managers, Directors and managing directors.
Internal relationships: Account Director, studio, marketing team and senior management
Location: Based in Leicester office, although will travel around the county

Responsibilities and duties:

- Responsible for managing a portfolio of existing clients with an objective to develop new business
- Responsible for achieving monthly sales targets for business from new and existing clients
- To regularly attend networking events to help generate new leads
- Responsible for updating the in-house CRM system with all new and progressing opportunities
- To attend meetings with prospective clients, completing the necessary forms to gather details about the opportunity
- To prepare proposals for prospective clients from existing template proposals and in conjunction with the in-house pricer
- Responsible for producing a monthly sales forecast
- Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships through regular close contact account management, which will include regular face to face meetings, telephone and email communication
- Completing administration work, as necessary
- Handling new and existing projects along with renewals
- Responding to requests from the Account Director in an efficient and timely manner

- One years experience within the Internet industry OR
- 2 years experience in account management or new business development
- A proven, successful and sustained sales track record, not necessarily in the same industry
- Experience of managing accounts and relationships for multiple clients
- Experience of presenting to clients at a senior management level
- A good understanding of what it takes to maintain and develop the most productive client relationships
- Must be able to quickly understand the client, their products and their industry
- Beyond an initial training period, must be able to describe and demonstrate an understanding of what it takes to produce an effective internet campaign
- Strong listening and questioning skills
- Effective and successful negotiation skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Well presented with an understanding for dressing for the occasion
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organisational and time management skills

- Ability to effectively communicate project performance by producing all necessary reports in an effective, timely and tailored manner

- Ability to use email, Internet applications, MS Windows operating system and CRM tools to support their role
