Due to our continued growth, Studio 2 Online, Leicester’s largest and leading New Media agency, we have a unique position for a Creative Designer/Team Leader. The successful candidate will come from a graphics led background, with a design degree or similar, and with at least 4 years web design under their belt. An experience of managing other members of a team would be a distinct advantage, but not essential.

Your role would involve primarily taking the design lead on all front-end graphics for our clients’ websites, ready for the build team to take over. Your skills will include understanding from a brief exactly what direction the design should take, and creating layouts in Photoshop/Illustrator to an extremely high standard. An understanding of website functionality, navigation and user expectation and understanding is an absolute must. Experience in Flash is also required.

For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to take on the role of the Creative Team Leader. This role will encompass all of the above and also include the management of the design & build team. Throughout the rest of the project you will retain control of how the site develops, managing the build team to ensure a high standard is kept throughout.

• Responsible for the standard of designs produced by the company
• Responsible for ensuring that all websites produced by the company are of a high standard, in terms of design & build. This includes build technologies & methodologies, compliance (both browser & DDA).
• Responsible for the running & management of the Creative  (Design & Build) team (Creative Team Leader role)
• Responsible for the line management of all members of the “Design & Build” team (Creative Team Leader role)
• Responsible for ensuring that design & build work is completed in accordance with the schedule produced by the Project Manager.
• Ensuring that all design & build work is completed on time & on budget (Creative Team Leader role)
• Ensuring that all design & build work is completed in accordance with the project specifications and complies with all disability & accessibility guidelines
• Responsible for producing design concepts & design visuals for all projects.
• Completing administration work, as necessary
• Responsible for the Studio 2 website, updates, and changes.
• Responsible for internal marketing designs when needed.

• Ability to create design concepts with or without a design brief
• Ability to create and amend graphics in applications such as Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator
