FREELANCER VACANCY DETAILS
Due to our continued growth, Studio 2 Online, Leicester's largest website
design agency, are looking to recruit several freelancers. Each freelance
position is full-time and you'll be based at Studio 2 Online's head office
in the centre of Leicester.
| Job Title: FREELANCE WEBSITE DEVELOPER / PROGRAMMER |
We are looking for a PHP developer, with a minimum of 2 years commercial
experience. You will need a strong understanding of database programming,
including MSSQL and MySQL.
| Job Title: FREELANCE WEBSITE DESIGNER / BUILDER |
We are looking for a website builder who will posses the following
skills:
- highly proficient at hand-coding in advanced CSS and XHTML with an excellent grasp of web standards and accessibility issues
- ability to build websites using table-less, CSS-based layouts
- basic working knowledge of JavaScript, PHP and Coldfusion would be extremely useful, as you will frequently be required to work within and integrate with systems and templates that use these scripting languages
- experience of Photoshop is essential, with experience of Illustrator/Freehand/Corel and Flash an advantage
- good eye for design and the ability to take a concept design and extend and apply it to a whole website
- experience of working with Content Management Systems would be useful, with an appreciation of and ability to take into account the dynamic relationship between the web development process and ongoing client-side content management
- ability to quickly pick up and adapt to new technologies and ways of working
- ability to use your own initiative to find solutions and solve problems as you work
- extremely methodical and logical approach to your work, with the ability to work within and adhere to predefined systems and structures while maintaining a look-out for ways of improving efficiency
- appreciation of how your work fits into and impacts on the wider development process with the ability to interact constructively with other members of the team.
