Due to our continued growth, Studio 2 Online, Leicester’s largest and leading New Media agency, have a very exciting position for a PHP Developer. The successful candidate will come from an Internet development background, with at least 4 years PHP development experience.

Your role would encompass working on internal systems, as well as client projects. Your skills will include an in-depth understanding of PHP and database design/development.
You will be rewarded with a diverse range of challenging projects. The role has excellent growth prospects within the company.

• Programming and creation of internal system based on a specification.
• Creation of scripts to interact with MySql & MS SQL databases.
• Creating scripts to manipulate & import MS Excel data sheets into MYSQL databases
• Interaction with 3rd parties via API.
• Integration with accounts package to help automate processes

• Ongoing maintenance and development of existing PHP based systems.
• Creating e-commerce websites for clients using an e-commerce system.
• Creating scripts to manipulate & import products into e-commerce websites.
• Integrating e-commerce websites with payment gateways.
• Creating ColdFusion scripts/code to manipulate e-commerce system.
• Working with existing Content Management system to create websites.
• Bug fixing and troubleshooting using our cases system.

• Strong web programming experience using PHP (minimum of 4 years, with a minimum of 2 years commercial experience), Ajax and Javascript.
• Strong understanding of internet technologies and database design very essential.
• Knowledge of MySqL and MS SQL databases
• Ability to use your own initiative to find solutions and solve problems as you work
• Extremely methodical and logical approach to your work, with the ability to work within and adhere to predefined systems and structures while maintaining a look-out for ways of improving efficiency
• Ability to use email, Internet applications, MS Windows operating system and CRM tools to support their role

• MIT 1: Knowledge of PHP (very important, at least 4 years experience)
